For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith--and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God-- not by works, so that no one can boast. Ephesians 2:8-9(NIV)
The Naval Christian Fellowship is more a family than an organisation. Our prime concern is to help and encourage Christians in the Royal Navy, Royal Marines and Royal Fleet Auxiliary to be able to live a Christian lifestyle within the harsh environment of a seagoing ship or shorebased establishment and subsequently bear witness to their messmates. We work alongside other Christian Organisations and firmly believe that all who know and serve our Lord Jesus Christ are one family in Him, irrespective of rank, race or church denomination.
We have over 300 members serving in the RN and associated Services and about 150 in other navies. Regular mailing is over 900 with another 500 annually, a total of over 1400 including spouses, friends, ex-Service members and those providing hospitality.
We maintain close links with Christians in many other navies including those of the USA, Canada, Australia, South Africa, Brazil, Chile, Argentina and Japan; and the smaller navies of Barbados, Ghana, Nigeria, Kenya, Togo and Oman.
In 1993 NCF, with the support of the Netherlands Navy Fellowship, launched the European Navies Christian Link-Up - ENCLU. We have since extended our links to the navies of Albania, Belgium, Bulgaria, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Latvia, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Russia, Spain and Sweden. Although our literature is in English, from time to time we circulate other language news-sheets.
