25 members met together in March for our Spring weekend ... Bible studies were led by Rev David Roissetter, an RN Chaplain and the snooker table was well used throughout the weekend !!!!
Our theme for the weekend was Living as a follower of Jesus in the Royal navy of 2009 (to paraphrase slightly!). there were interactive studies, talks, worship, time to relax over a pint, great food and opportunities for prayer.
A great weekend!
Our weekends, houseparties and conferences take place mainly during naval leave periods but also over weekends. They are intended to build and strengthen friendships and provide teaching in a relaxed and friendly environment! We also link up with the Armed Forces Christian Union for a joint group at New Wine in the Summer.
Spring Weekend at Amport House; Amport House is the Armed Forces Chaplaincy Centre near Andover, where we have a relaxed weekend, with the focus on our serving members and solid Biblical teaching based on a theme relevant to our unique situation.
Autumn Weekend - this is held at the Chantmarle Resource centre near Dorchester and is focused on our Serving Members and their families.
'Hello' Days and other local activities. Hello days are when members can meet each other, catch up on what's been happening and get an update on what is taking place in the wider fellowship. They are organised in different parts of the country. Other events organised throughout the year include BBQs, Barn Dance and numerous walks etc.
ENCLU Weekends. We meet with Christians from European Navies at various locations in Europe including in Germany at Church House, Lubbecke .
Summer Holidays - currently held at at Rora House Christian Centre on the edge of the Dartmoor national park in Devon. Families enjoy this and can camp and caravan in its lovely grounds.
Ancient Mariners get togethers, our AMs have their own get-togethers in different areas as required!
